At The Tea Makers of London, we are dedicated to bringing our customers some of the finest and rarest teas available. We are passionate about making authentically crafted, single-origin everyday teas accessible to everyone. Our selection includes award-winning whole-leaf classics such as breakfast teas, Earl Greys, green teas, and herbal teas, many of which have won multiple Great Taste awards. We recognize that every tea journey starts differently. That’s why we offer a diverse range of distinctive teas – from Silver Needle and Dragon Well to Gyokuro and Ali Shan oolong. At the pinnacle of our collection are rare, hand-crafted micro-batch teas available for a limited time. Every tea in our collection meets our core standards for authenticity, sustainability, and exceptional flavor.

Great Taste Awards – Recognized Excellence

The Great Taste Awards, organized by The Guild of Fine Food, is one of the world’s most prestigious food and drink competitions. Thousands of entries are judged each year from over 100 countries, but only the best receive the coveted Great Taste stars. Each awarded product is rigorously taste-tested by multiple judges. Since our first entry in 2016, The Tea Makers of London has earned 25 Great Taste awards for our exquisite teas. In 2020, we were honored as a Great Taste Producer, highlighting our consistent delivery of high-quality teas. We are proud that our dedication to making great teas accessible has been recognized by the fine food industry.

Planet-Friendly Packaging

At The Tea Makers of London, we take the same care in sourcing our packaging as we do with our loose-leaf teas. We work hard to find the best packaging that fits our two core requirements: optimal storage conditions and sustainability. The fresh tea leaves must be kept as dry and airtight as possible to preserve their flavors and aromas and minimize waste. With this in mind, we seek out packaging that will do just that, and we select the most sustainable options we can find. Packaging is a fast-moving industry, and many clever people are coming up with exciting products with sustainability in mind. It is a work in progress, and we are constantly reviewing our options.

Recyclable And Biodegradable

Our signature Triune Teabags have been plastic-free and compostable for as long as we have been packing them. The pyramid bags are made from Soilon corn-starch, complete with a cotton string and paper tag, making them 100% compostable. The cardboard boxes that our Triune Teabags come in are fully recyclable. The branded metal caddies used for packaging our loose-leaf teas are fully recyclable – though we hope they’ll be a fixture in your kitchen cupboard for years to come. These caddies are airtight, keeping your tea fresh and delicious. For some of our more delicate and fragrant teas, we package the produce inside our Nature flex inner bags. These bags are made from a transparent, plant-based film that is compostable, protecting our more fragile teas while minimizing our environmental.

Our Organic Teas

We source organic-certified teas and infusions, and we are certified by the Soil Association to store, pack, and distribute organic-certified teas, undertaking yearly audits to validate our processes. Our organic teas carry the Soil Association Organic logo. The best teas come from gardens that work with nature and support biodiversity, limiting the use of agrochemicals and protecting local communities by following sustainable practices. Organic certifications are a fantastic guide for consumers and a guarantee that products are made in an environmentally responsible way.
